Top 5 Family Events in DC and Maryland August 24th-26th

This weekend is supposed to be beautiful!  I am so excited to get outside and enjoy this pre-fall weather we are having.  Here are some great ideas for things to do this weekend.  I would love to hear if you go to any of these events and what you liked (or didn't like) about them.  Enjoy!

1. "On the Town" Art Exhibition - Now - September 28th, 2018 - 9am-5pm

Join the Annapolis Water Color Club for their exhibit at the Annapolis City Hall.  The members of the club have painted various pieces that represent Annapolis views, architecture, gardens, and water ways.  While you're in downtown Annapolis, take a stroll down Main Street and enjoy the shops and restaurants.  Sounds like the perfect way to enjoy the end of summer!

2. DC Beer Week - Now - August 26th, 2018 - Times Vary

Looking for a place to eat and try some tasty beers?  Look no further than DC Beer Week.  There are many events going on this weekend related to DC Beer Week.  You can enjoy some delicious crabs and Devils Backbone beer at Bier Baron in DC, nosh on Prime Rib at 3 Stars Brewing Company, enjoy a shrimp boil at DC Brau, or view some beautiful art while enjoying some brews at DC Drafthouse.  The possibilities are endless!  Check out all of the events on their website.

3. The Maryland State Fair - Today until September 3rd, 2018 - 10am-10pm

What better way to end the summer than going to the state fair!  This year's fair will have games, food, entertainment, concerts and more.  Some of the concerts include Smash Mouth, Chase Bryant, Chris Lane, and Chris Janson.  They will also have livestock demonstrations, exhibit halls, and a kiddie land!

4.  Cruises on the Bay Severn River Cruises - Now until September 3rd, 2018 - 12:30-2pm

Looking for something a little more relaxing to do?  Then check out a Severn River Cruise by Cruises on the Bay.  They offer a 90 minute cruise that includes beer, wine, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic drinks.  Plus there will be snacks available for purchase.  Enjoy views of the Naval Academy and the Annapolis Harbor.

5.  Annapolis Color Run - August 26, 2018 - 9am-12pm

The 2nd Annual Annapolis Color Run is this Sunday from 9am-12pm.  The run/walk is a short three miles.  After the run enjoy some music, food trucks, and a free drink.  Participants are encouraged to dress for lots of fun (think costumes, tutus, knee high socks, etc.)
