Beginner and Intermediate Photography Classes
I am super excited to announce that I will be teaching a Beginner and Intermediate Photography class at Arts Wayland at the W Gallery. Arts Wayland is an art center located in Boston Metrowest. They offer art classes, live performances, and have an art gallery attached to the teaching space. It is run by a team of dedicated and talented volunteers. I am so excited to be able to offer photography classes at Arts Wayland.
In the Beginner class I will go over aperture, shutter speed, and each creative automatic mode (Portrait Mode, Night Mode, Sports Mode, etc). You will learn everything from how to turn your camera on, how to view your photographs, to how your camera is changing the way your photographs look in each Creative Automatic Mode. This class is a one time class lasting an hour and a half. You will need to bring your camera (no iPhone’s please), your cameras manual, and a pen and paper to take notes on. Any camera with the Creative Automatic Modes (Portrait, Night, Sports, etc) will work. The cost is $35. Plus, if you sign up for both the Beginner and Intermediate Photography Class, you will receive a coupon code for the Intermediate class.
During the Intermediate class you will learn how to use your camera in manual mode. I will teach you about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, the exposure graph, focal points, Shutter Priority Mode, and Aperture Priority Mode. This class consists of (2) two hour classes. There will be a week in between each class so that you will have time to complete the homework assignment given in the first class. This class also comes with access to a private Facebook group for all current and former students. You will need to bring your camera (no iPhone’s please), your camera manual, and a pen and paper to take notes on. Any camera with Manual Mode (look for the M on the top dial) will work. The cost is $75. There are no pre-requisites to take the Intermediate Photography Class.
